Cars, Trucks & SUVs

If you’re going to be driving your car, truck or SUV during the winter months, there’s a few things you’ll want to do. First, make sure your vehicle is up-to-date on all of its required maintenance. Second, be sure to get a thorough exterior detail service. A proper wash and wax job can go a very long way towards protecting your vehicle’s paint and exterior surfaces. Road salt and sand can quickly damage your vehicle. Don’t let that happen!

If you’re storing your vehicle through the winter, there are a few additional steps you’ll want to take. You’ll still want to get that good exterior detail service. But, you’ll also want to get a good interior detail service. Once that is complete, set an open box of baking soda on the floor. That will help with stale odors. If you’re parking your vehicle in a garage, that’s perfect. If not, you’re going to want to invest in a car cover that’s specifically made for your vehicle. Without a car cover, your vehicle’s exterior is left to the elements. This goes for motorcycles too.

Boats & Watercraft

Boats and other types of watercraft have their own set of preparations. Just like vehicles with four wheels, boat motors need regular maintenance too. Make sure that is complete before storing. Boats can also be details just like a regular vehicle. Did you know that Myrtle Beach Detailing details boats on a regular basis? It’s true! You’ll want to make sure the exterior of your boat is completely clean, free of salt, dirt and other debris. If you have a boat cover, make sure you use it! If not, park your boat in a garage if at all possible. This goes for jet skis too!

RVs & ATVs

If you’re storing an RV over the winter, there are few very important steps you’ll want to take. First of all, you’ll want to make sure all of the trash is removed from the RV and the refrigerator is empty. The last thing you want to happen is to open the door and have the smell of rotten food and garbage hit you in the face. Make sure you have the inside of the RV cleaned top to bottom, including the bathroom! Get the exterior detailed as well as that will help guard against winter weather.

If you have a four-wheeler or other all-terrain vehicle, again, make sure it has been properly serviced. Give it a good cleaning and if you can, park it in a garage. If you don’t have a garage, just like with a regular vehicle, use a cover specifically made for your ATV.
